We didn't expect a lot from this toy other than occasional dress up play, but our son loves it.
It's lots of fun for pretend play: puts on the belt, goggles and get his blaster ready to hunt down the aliens. The visor has a button on top that flips up a red transparent plastic piece inside that helps detect aliens (surprised when I learned my hubby is an alien). The gun is easy to load and clips onto the belt. The belt is a little big, but we just added a couple more holes for his current size and know he'll grow into it over the years.

My son loves this set! He uses the binoculars to search out his target-pulls the little gun off of his belt-and whamo-the plastic dinosaur get hit with a large coin shaped bullet! He adores dress up-or I guess since he is a boy-role play. This is perfect and withstands ceramic tile floor and concrete!

This toy is advertised as being bought along with the buzz lightyear costume size 3t-4t and another toy. You can click the button to buy all 3 items together. So I clicked that and got all three. My son just turned 3. So this belt is way too big for him! I read in another review that you can poke a hole and it solves the problem. That isnt really the case. It really doesnt stay on. It keeps fallng off. Because we poked holes in it, we cant really return it. He doesn't wear it. The binoculars only entertained him for a few minutes. He already has a lot of guns so this one wasn't isnt that important to him. I wish I could return this toy.

I added this onto a purchase of a Buzz Lightyear with a Utility Belt for our son for Christmas as he fixated on the Buzz with the Utility belt in Toy Story 2 and he has played with it everyday since some nights sleeping with it and also insisting on bringing it out of the house with him. As per another reviewers suggestion we punched another hole in it so that it fit. Our 3 Year old loves this toy has provided him and us with hours of imaginery play time the little laser that comes with the toy has 3 little discs that fly from it at high velocity so we have put the rule in place that we do not shoot at anyone or the dog but at the carpet and have to be careful which he has gone along with, the discs have disappeared somewhere in the house right now so we are in no rush to find them. However had toys much more dangerous when I was a kid and didn't lose life or limb nor did anyone else.
For the price paid for this toy it is more than worth it's value in what it has given our little Space Ranger over the past month in imaginery play, it's very durable and well made. Hours of entertainment. Would also suggest picking up the DVD Buzz Lightyear of Star Command as has been a huge hit.

it's too big for my nephew. And the binoculars are kind of silly, even he sees that. The laser gun would've been better if it was an actual laser and not discs that shoot out and when they hit you they actually kind of sting.
