A different board would be betterMar 14, 2011
By Mrs. Optomistic I know that my love for the game of scrabble may be jading my true opinion of this product. This is my very first scrabble board game. It was a wonderful "just because I love you" gift from my husband. This is not the board that I would have chosen but I don't think he knew which one to get. He thought that it would be nice because the tiles are supposed to stay in place. Well I have no idea why the call it tile lock because the tiles don't lock. In fact they can move around quite a bit. Plus the board does it cheaply made. If you want a cheaper Scrabble board then this one will do. But I would recommend spending a little more and getting one that folds up or one with the original wooden tiles.

Cheaply made, tiles do not actually lockSep 04, 2011
By Sera The name is misleading, the tiles do not actually lock in the board and the entire set is made of cheap plastic, with the bonus spaces on the board simply being stickers. We got this thinking the tiles locked so our cats wouldn't spill it, but they're still able to. We regret not purchasing the platinum scrabble board instead which looked much nicer and simply had inset spaces. If you want a travel set, just get the travel set, and if you want something non-spill that you'll be spending a lot of time playing, just get the platinum board instead.

Nice size for travel but not truly "locking"Jul 02, 2011
By Diana Lane The game is a nice size for travel and the little plastic tiles can be wiped off in the event of the inevitable spills. However, the tiles do not truly lock together so a child bumping into the table does result in everything going galley west. Otherwise it is just like ordinary Scrabble.

Small board!Jan 10, 2012
By TJB The board is TINY! it's almost like it was made as a travel set. I returned it because I would never play it with that small of a board.

scrabble - with tiles that stay putJul 26, 2011
By Eva Hollander I've been playing Scrabble for a long time, and often the tiles move from their places. It's hard to put them back where they belong. The tile-lock game holds them in place, so I'm happy to have bought it.
