These are cute little toys. They actually aren't as squishy as I thought they would be, but I guess that's my fault, not the company's. They come in their own little balls,which seem fairly durable. They close like a plastic Easter egg does, and can sometimes be a little tricky(to close).
It was clever of the company to mix them all up and package them seperately so you'd have to buy all the packs to get all of a certain collection as opposed to having a babies,friends,pets(etc.) pack.
These require a fair amount of imagination, as they don't "do" much(which isn't necessarily a bad thing) and the manufacturers do not have many playsets availible. The playsets they do currently have avaible are all based on the "gumball machine" concept, which is fun but something new (i.e. a playhouse, playground) would be nice.
The fact that they can be used as pencil toppers is nice and adds a new element to play.
All in all, these toys are cute and can be a lot of fun with a little imagination.

I was so worried that I wouldn't get my hands on the awesome, elusive, ever-popular Squinkies this year! It was a Zhu-Zhu pet nightmare all over again!! I finally found them and thought they were pretty cool, however, my daughter who wanted them sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much was just kinda like...."huh...cool"...oh well :( what we mothers do for our daughters :)

These are like gumball machine toys. BUT, every little one in our family loves them! They are squishy and adorable, but they are easily lost.

I'm biased, because I would have LOVED these toys as a child... My daughter loves them too. Being so small, they are simply wonderful for travel. We can pack up 50 Squinkies in a very small bag and they provide a wonderful variety of play opportunities while taking up just a little space. They aren't slippery, so they stay put on an airplane tray table. I admit, they *are* quite expensive for being so small, but the play value has proven to counteract that in our family. I think they are cute and quite well made. My only complaint is that I think the company ought to rethink the color tint of the "brown people". I've made a point of purchasing sets that included "ethnic" characters, but have been disappointed in the "skin tone". My daughter doesn't care a bit, but this Mama would feel more respected if the shade was a more beautiful brown and less "greenish".
