Short-lived fun.........Jun 08, 2005
By Beelzeblondie Last year I had one of these and my boys (aged 4 and 2) used it endlessly. It finally tore and got tossed at the end of the summer. Bought a new one, same style, this year and it lasted ONE DAY. In fact, I suspect it was beginning to tear when I took it out of the box. So, if you buy one, check the edges near the hole at the inflated end of the slide, where the stake goes in on the left side----that's where mine tore both years.

Hours of fun, but won't last more than 1 day!Jul 01, 2005
By C. Williams The slide was already ripped when I took it out the box - by the stake whol on one of th sides. I didn't have time to return it because the kids were already in bathing suits ready to go. The kids had lots of fun (5 hours), but the slide totally ripped and is now useless. They need to make them more durable.

By M. Mccall I bought this yesterday, and in less than 1 hour it had popped. I don't recommend this slip and slide.

Wow. I don't understand it. The slip and slide I had as a kid (whamo brand, mind you) lasted all through my childhood. Bought this for my daughter. On the first use one of the holes where the stake goes in ripped. On the second use all 57 punds of her was sliding down and when she hit the "splash pool" one of the sides popped! The way I figure it has two more sides to pop so it should give her another two uses. Sheesh this product sucked on durability!

Slip N Slide: An oldie but goodieSep 09, 2008
By Marc Lichtenstein I remember loving this when I was a kid, so I figured it would be great for my 4 year old's birthday party. Although it took a while before the kids really figured it out, they all had tons of fun with it. Of course, I had to give it a try (I still got it!!). Although the pegs didnt all stay in the ground, the slide still held up over all. I expected the thing to be ruined by party's end but it held up fine. Will surely use it again. I would definitely recommend it for children of this age.
