Impressive performanceFeb 27, 2011

Definitely remove the extension barrel if you want range and accuracy. Its bore is much larger than the dart making it act more like a silencer than an rifle barrel. Not that there's sound to be suppressed, but it will cost velocity and accuracy.
Otherwise, I'm very impressed by both guns that I received for Christmas- the CS-6 and RV-10. I'm amazed that the clip-fed CS-6 can pump out those foam-rubber darts as fast as I can fire without jamming completely. Not to mention the tight pattern that can be had from the RV-10 "Barricade". These are well-designed and well-constructed toys.
(The high "educational" rating is only for those who'd be inclined to take it apart & see how it works.)

AWESOMEJan 18, 2011
By djspadwill This gun is really cool! I love that it comes apart and it looks really intimidating because of its size. I like that it is clip loaded - you can fire up to 6 darts per clip - making it easier to use. I bought this as a gift for my 6 year old son and he absolutely loves it. The only thing I would change is to be able to remove the butt end like the front is removable, but once it is locked in it can't be taken out. It is great that it will hold 2 extra clips and it fires a REALLY long way! Great product if you like dart guns!

If it don't shoot far, return for a new one!!!Jan 31, 2011
By bartdogs99 My previous Longstrike had an average range of about 20 feet, with 30-35 foot shots every so often, maybe 1 of 10. Some were duds, like about 10 feet. Please don't be hesitant to return for a new one, or at least when you get an excellent one like I got. My new replacement shoots maximum, and maybe further than 35 feet. This one actually hurts at point blank. All in All, I liked it, even the less accurate one, it has a nice feel and is easy to reload, just a little loud when cocking. The accuracy is not that good unless you have brand new darts, however. I think the reason it doesn't shoot far is the variability in its design, maybe more than normal they are produced inferior, but if you get the right one, it should not dissapoint!!

favorite nerf gun so far!Jan 01, 2011
By diane short My son has been wanting this gun for quite some time and it was considerably less expensive from AMAZON... $10-$20 at some stores! It was easy to put together and shoots pretty far. Like all NERF products, you have to be careful how you load the amo and be patient or you will jam it. It has already taken alot of use and holding up well so far. Really light and easy to carry around and run with.

Nerf'dFeb 20, 2011
By Stephen Dann The last of the true works of Nerf art to grace the plastic production lines. Sleek, comforting, and manual fire control. None of this battery powered malarkey! All honest spring and plunger action here.
Graceful. Delicate. Subtle. Effective. Nondeadly too, so the legal implication of sniping the Associate Dean of Law from the roof overhang of the Commerce faculty is relatively easy to solve.
