The Lego City truck is one of my son's favorite City sets. He says it awesome to pretend with and loves the idea of the 'load' being more Lego City truck sets. This toy's colors beautifully standout among other trucks he owns and is not too large to be handled with ease.
The set was not difficult for my 11 year old to piece together and the instructions were clear and easy to understand. Part of the educational value that comes from this toy is the practice of comprehending, visual reading,and following instruction. My son is a visual learner so Lego has provided a way for him to enhance this skill through their visual diagrams.
The truck has great detail and even has an engine. Unfortunately, the hood of the truck does not open easily and several pieces must be taken off to expose the engine. Also, when I rolled the truck with the cab being on an angle against the trailer, the hitch came undone quickly. However, this did not seem to bother my son, who just popped it back on quickly.
My son had read about the truck online and in his Lego magazine (Lego sends out a free Lego magazine, sign up is @[...]) prior to our purchase and he said the truck was everything he thought it would be and more. It's an enjoyable toy and goes well with the Lego City he has created under our dining room table. I highly recommend this toy for all ages to enjoy!

Kids Scandinavian Shop is Awesome!Sep 16, 2010

I've ordered a few lego items for the my kids over the years; most from Amazon and Lego. However, I would highly suggest checking out the Kids Scandinavian Shop who sells through Amazon. They do have a more limited selection (the only con), but their prices are better; especially if you order over $60 worth of Legos from them directly (free shipping). They are extremely prompt and the items always arrive well packaged. They have also been providing a coupon with each order to further reduce the price for subsequent orders. They are the best "Amazon Merchant" that I've dealt with in all my years on Amazon.
As for this particular item (Lego Truck), I bought it for a Christmas gift this year and I expect there to be much fighting over it (which says a lot for the toy itself).

Fun to build and play withDec 24, 2011

My son loves trucks and LEGO and this was perfect combination for him. He loved building and playing with it. When he is bored with it, he would take it apart and put it away. After some time later, he would build and play with it again. There are some pieces (underneath the truck) that keeps falling off. Other than that, it is keeps together. It has 2 minifigures, a handtruck and LEGO boxes. It even comes with a little coffee mug for the LEGO truck driver.

This is a great trailer to put cart all your deliveries to your Minifigures. The stickers look great and this set is easily asseciable for the insides.
Pros:
Front seat:
Bed for driver so he can take a nap during night in the parking lot
Place to put drink
Roof hinges for easy play
side doors
Trailer:
Roof easily comes off for easy play
Plenty of large doors
Plenty of room for your shipments
Minifigure with handtruck/dolly
Lego set boxes in minifigure scale
trailer has stand to keep up without truck
Cons:
no ramp to get up to trailer
Overall, a great set that you should have with your city.

My grandson loves Legos and this truck was perfect for him. He is six and had no trouble putting it together. Great price, great find. Love Amazon for that!
