Awesome, cool and best How To Train Your Dragon toy!Dec 26, 2010
By snowmommy I don't normally do reviews but because every review on this toy is so bad, I thought I would let you all know that it is great! We got it from Walmart, and didn't open till Christmas, and everything on it works just fine! The fire comes out and makes the noise and when his wings move they too make some sound effects! How To Train Your Dragon is my two year-olds favorite movie, so I've seen it A LOT, and this action figure is the closest thing to the Toothless in the movie! My son loves it, and so do I. If you have a child that loves the movie, he or she, will love this toy. So hopefully this helps all of you parents that are looking for a kids toy and not a collectible!

By bpmom I purchase this toy 2 days ago from walmart ( selling for $30.) I had my son hold on to the toy while shopping and he was pressing the try me feature and all of the sudden the toy would not stop making noises it was as if the button was stuck so we decided to go back to the toy section and exchange it for another one just in case it was defective. The dragon features are that if you press the top button , a blue light comes out of its mouth and then goes back inside the dragons mouth and at the same time the dragon makes a sound. Also the hind legs when pushed inwards are suppose to move the large wings on the dragon. In about one hour after purchasing the dragon the light feature was working but then it would not go inside the dragons mouth. I tried following the manufactures advise and even changed the batteries but this feature does not work properly. Also this toy is sensitive to electric devices so your kid can not play with this toy in front of the tv or radio etc or it won't work. The toys on off button also seems to be constantly turned off and on again for it to function. Other than that, since my son is only 3 1/2 years old he has fun with it, the dragon is also pretty big. In order words, my son doesn't know he has been ripped off!

Toothless Figure= Not a rip-off,Jan 11, 2011
By Toothless I bought this toy at Walmart for myself as I collect HTTYD figures. 1. If there's a Walmart near you, don't order here. this toy is 30$ at walmart. I don't get why the seller is charging 50$+ at times, because it is exactly what it's worth- 30$ 2. If your child (or you, I suppose) Is a rough player, then this toy might possibly break, ok? You don't expect your 3 year old not to press the light up button repeatedly, Or drop the thing, for a matter of fact. So if your buying this toy for looks, An older child, or a CAREFUL child, then you will have no problems at all. I live overseas, and had to put this in my luggage in the cargo, and when I opened it, nothing was wrong. 3. This is the biggest plastic figure of toothless yet, It has amazing features, And the first figure I've seen of him that the eyes AREN'T going in different directions. I would highly recommend this to anybody of any age who enjoyed the movie. Beautifully detailed toy, surprised walmart is selling this.
On a side note, The wings. Big, in proportion, BUT! They are a bit heavy, so they may drag down when you hold the figure up, BUT THEY DO MOVE. PEOPLE WHO ARE SAYING THAT THEY'RE SO HEAVY HEY DON'T MOVE AT ALL ARE WRONG. they move, except when the figure is facing upwards. That is the only thing I noticed, but it's not that big of a deal. (they are a bit hard to snap on, too, but no matter)

mom of three boysJan 03, 2011
By Seth Engen This is the one toy that our 4 year old wanted for Christmas and we almost didn't get it because of the poor reviews people gave on this site. But since it was the one thing he asked for we purchased it anyway and he has had a blast with it! He carries it everywhere and it is very durable. We have had no trouble with the blue fire. If your child loves How to Train Your Dragon, they are sure to love this toy!

A Tale of Two ToothlessesJun 13, 2011
By Kindler We got two of these - because we have twin boys. Having read the reviews, I didn't get them from Amazon but for $15 each at Walmart.
First Toothless - This toy worked fine until it started having the same problems encountered by other readers. About four hours after purchase, the lightning bolt jammed and kept making noise. (The lightning bolt is VERY loud by the way and there is no way to turn it down). My husband jiggled the mouth of the dragon and it stopped. So far, we haven't had any more problems.
Second Toothless - Five hours into play, the blue lightning bolt stopped lighting up. We tried everything - including the batteries to fix it and nothing would. I don't know how to get in touch with the makers of this toy so they could help and Walmart's only suggestion was to return it to them (but they don't have another one to exchange).
As a mother, I would like to appeal to the makers of these toys to please, please, please - make a more durable toy and then support it when it breaks. It is sad and frustrating to see a five year old save his allowance for weeks, excitedly ride to the store, count out his money at the register, and then take a toy home to have it only work for five hours!!! He's so disappointed. I'm left running around trying to find another toy because he asks about it every day.
Truly, a monstrous nightmare.
