Gazillion Machines Ties You To Gazillion Liquid (which is close to impossible to find!)May 27, 2006
By Gift Card Recipient We've had a number of Gazillion bubble machines.
The first - this one, with an upright rotating set of bubble wands - worked relatively well, but stopped working after maybe a dozen uses. (Granted, one of those uses was for a few hours). When the level of liquid is low, the machine stops making bubbles since it has to pick up enough liquid to cover the wand.
We replaced it the next year with the Typhoon machine - this was awesome, produced a huge quantity of bubbles and worked more reliably since the bubble liquid is sucked up and put on the wands, no matter how low the supply of liquid. It has a large reservoir at the bottom so you don't need to fill it very often - it takes a lot of liquid though.
Our issue now is getting the liquid. Gazillion liquid does produce the best bubbles - they last well, etc. etc. etc. HOWEVER, very few stores stock the liquid, and except for when I first bought the first machine, no-one stocks large size bottles. Even the online vendors like toys.com who are supposed to have them, never have them in stock (I've been on their notify list for a long time!) I've ended up buying from someone in Canada on eBay - otherwise, buying the smaller bottles at ToysRUs, Target, etc. is just too expensive.
Both of these machines don't really work if you try other bubble liquids - other liquids (especially the cheaper kinds in very large size bottles) are much thinner and the liquid drips right off the wands before it has a chance to pass by the blower part to make any bubbles.
We're planning to start making our own bubble liquid and hopefully that will cover us. Otherwise, the machines are useless now.

yet another damaged machineNov 20, 2004

My kids used it about 8 times and it stopped working. I didn't read the reviews on amazon.com and did not clean it out after every use. It wasn't the batteries, I swapped out for new ones. They really need to keep the battery compartment sealed so that bubble solution doesn' t leak in. I'd buy it again and maintain it carefully but I would NEVER give it as a gift as kids will be disappointed when it doesn't work on the 5th+ use.
It was really fun while it worked, though.

Yet, another disappointmentApr 13, 2005
By a fun mommy We bought this for our daughter 2 weeks ago and when we got home, she absolutely loved it. Following the very simple instructions on cleaning it, I didn't foresee any problems...until we'd had it for about 3 days, when it stopped working. The battery compartment was drenched with bubble solution and no matter how much I have cleaned it since, it will not work. Putting new batteries in it doesn't make a difference.
I expected better, but will look elsewhere for our next bubble machine.

Tons of bubbles!!Aug 02, 2005
By ELF As I am sure most children do, both of my children LOVE bubbles. They constantly want bubbles blown for them, as they are still a little young to do it themselves. When we go outside to play all they want to do is chase bubbles. Needless to say I was getting very tired of blowing bubbles, not to mention a little light headed. We had tried some of the other bubble blowers and had not been impressed. They either spilled all over or were too hard for the kids to operate. I was a little unsure of purchasing this product based on the reviews about it quiting after not so many uses. I gave in and bought it anyway and decided it would last as long as it lasted. I must say we have not had one problem with it. We follow the cleaning instructions each time we use it and we make sure we don't overfill it. The cleaning process is really quite simple and not a big deal to do. The kids love it and as the name implies it makes a gazillion bubbles. It has provided us with hours of summer fun. I would recommend this bubble blower to anyone who is tired of blowing bubbles themselves and is looking for an easy way to give the kids all the bubbles they are looking for. Just follow the simple care instructions and I don't think you would have a problem. Have Fun!

Recipe for cheap replacement Gazillion Gold bubbles!Nov 07, 2011
By Sapere Aude I posted this in a review a while back for one of the Gazillion bubble machines, figured it might be helpful here. These toys are so much fun until you are out of bubble solution. I went looking for refills and couldn't find any - you need Gazillion GOLD bubbles by the way because you are trying to make big bubbles, regular bubble stuff will not work. I could not find a refill anywhere - lots of places sold the bubblator we had, none sold refills. Grrr.
So I did some research and experimenting and came up with this replacement. Buy a big container of regular bubble stuff (I got a 100oz Miracle Bubbles) and a 4oz bottle of Glycerin (available in the soap / skin care section of drugs stores - but not all of them (Walgreens did not have it, I found mine in CVS, little plain brown bottle Dump the entire bottle of glycerin into the Miracle Bubbles. Mix gently (don't shake vigorously). Do this a day or two in advance of using for best results (the glycerin needs to age a little) - however I did use it right away and did pretty well. Voila - 100oz of replacement bubbles for cheap rather than one tiny little bottle. Enjoy!
I haven't tested this in this product specifically, but it worked great in the Gazillion Bubblator we own.
