Not worth the money!! Doesn't work as advertised!!Oct 21, 2010

My daughter wanted this toy so badly for her 6th birthday. She loves me braid her dolls hair. It was hard to get out of the package. When I finally got everything out and read the instrustions, I tried to set up the three little animals on the wheel. The rabbit was missing the piece to connect it to the knob so it would not stay on the wheel. I looked through everything and could not find the missing piece. It is very tiny!!!! So I had to super glue the rabbit on to the wheel. To actually get her hair set up, you need to have three equal pieces of hair. (She comes with two braids on each side of her head. I took those out and started fresh.) Then you have to clip the hair with a small clip, tuck up the end, and tie it on with a tiny ponytail. (No way my daughter could do all that, so she can't play with this toy by herself.) Then you have to snap the clips into the animals, at which point the super glue did not hold, so I had to do all over again and wait even longer for the glue to set. Finally I had everything ready again. My daughter excitedly twisted the handle and the braid started to braid only about half way down her hair. Then when the tension between the animals and the doll was to tight, the braid just got knotted. So all that for maybe two inches of braid!!! I tried small pieces of hair and large pieces of hair, with all the same results. It definately would not braid large amounts of hair. The doll is very pretty and so is her dress. She comes with shoes, but I could not get them on her. So, I now braid her hair myself. Just by the doll, this toy is defintely not worth the money. It simply does not work the way it should, and my daughter cannot play with it by herself. I love playing with my daughter, but not with a toy that has me so mad beacuse it is too time consuming and breaks!!!!

So DisappointedOct 18, 2010

This toy is terrible. The dolls braids she comes with are all frizzy on the ends. The braiding tool is a nightmare. There's no way my daughter could do it and takes me 20+ to prep only to have it work terribly. Don't waste your money...buy the doll by itself for $10 less.

dont' waste your moneyNov 14, 2010
By L. Rowley After reading the reviews about this doll I was extremely hesitant to buy it. However, my daugthter REALLY wanted it for her 6th birthday, so I went ahead and purchased it. Needless to say, everyone who wrote a bad review about this toy is right. The entire process of braiding the hair is over-complicated. It took me 25 minutes just to set up the doll for braiding, and when my daugther finally tried it, it came out awful. She is very disappointed and so am I. The toy maker and Disney should be ashamed of themselves for putting together such a worthless piece of junk and prying on little girls' wishes. I hope I can spare another parent the money and aggrevation.

Simply horrible.Oct 24, 2010

We were very excited after reading the description of this toy. After taking it out of the box and setting it up for brading the mechanism of this toy just turn to be cheep plastic faulty working thing. One can turn the handle untill one turn blue but the animals will make few turns and keep getting stucked almost every turn so after million tries one just get so frustrated. I can't imagine how this can be marketed towards a child since an adult can not make it work. It is very very poorly and cheeply made. It looks fantastic on the picture, the concept is great but the execution is just miserable. Avoid dissapointment stay away. If you are compelled to try buy locally with option to return it to spare yourself and your little one anticipation of arrival of the toy only to get dissapointed. Target and Toysrus have this toy locally as it turned out after we ordered it online only to get dissapointed. It is coming back today to Amazon.

I purchased this toy for two of my grandaughters who are 7years old. Hair wouldn't braid like the commercial and clips would slip off the hair. Both girls cried as it didn't work like the commercial on tv and I could't even make it work. It's worth $1 not $30. Don't waste your money.
