Great toy but must use the Crayola Dry Erase MarkersNov 26, 2009
By Happy Mom Fabulous toy and Crayola has great customer service. My children love doodling and now writing on this toy.
But, don't make the mistake of using other dry erase brand markers on this surface though as you may find that it does not want to come off! I made this mistake as I could not find these markers at a store (as another reviewer mentioned, these markers are difficult to find.) We used an Expo dry erase and another brand that I had bought from Target and they did not come off. We tried dish soap and rubbing alcohol and a lot of elbow grease. Then I read on the internet that someone suggested draw over the area that you want to erase and erase immediately.
What worked for us ultimately is drawing over the lines that would not erase with a newish Crayola dry erase marker, one that had lots of ink in it, and then using the eraser to wipe it off. We had to do this many times before the other dry erase lines were removed. Now you can't see the lines anymore.
We found that you can use the Crayola dry erase markers on this product and other true dry erase boards but you can't use other brand markers on this plastic surface - the ink is absorbed into the plastic.

FANTASTIC learning tool!!!Mar 29, 2009

I have a K-5 little girl that LOVES it! We got it to help with her handwriting which it did but then realized that the cards they give you are standard paper size. Now we use it to slip in practice sheets like math, telling time, etc. FANTASTIC learning tool!

Crayola Dry Erase Activity CenterMay 20, 2008
By J. S. Bought this for my 2 year old son for a church activity. He LOVES it. It is really great that he can use it on his own for coloring and when he is a bit older will be a great tool to learn the alphabet. Seems quite durable so far.
Update: It didn't take too long before the plastic stopped erasing. Now there are permanent marks on it - even though only dry erase markers have been used.

Our preschool daughter LOVES this activity center so much and it will surely help develop her writing skills. Just don't use dry erase cleaner on this...we did and now have to buy a new one because it trashed the screen.

Does not erase wellJan 03, 2011
By mlreview In spite of other reviews indicating that this does not erase well, I purchased this thinking that if I followed the recommendation to use only the Crayola brand dry-erase markers, we would be fine. It is VERY difficult to erase. I had more trust of the Crayola brand prior to purchasing this product. We have TONS of Crayola products, but this one was a disappointment.
