Fantastic Addition to Critters Line-up - Collectors take note!Feb 07, 2011

We got this for our 6 yo for Christmas to complement the ever-growing collection of Calico Critters toys. I have been rabidly opposed to plastic toys throughout my childrens' childhood. I assented with Calico Critters only after the children were past the "mouthing" age. They are not likely at 6 and 8 to chew on this or any toy. The car itself is surprisingly heavy and with all the little features, such as opening doors and spinning wheels, you might expect it to be lacking being plastic, but this toy is heavy and very well made, sturdy. It is better constructed than most - and I DO mean most - of my son's toys by companies whose SOLE business it is to make cars. I am very impressed with how sturdy this toy is. It will last for a very long time. The car has so many cute little features that it is apparent that a lot of thought went into how a little girl would play with this and designed accordingly. The little baby seats attach facing backwards, so the little babies can "chat" with the teen Critters sitting in the back seat. The adorable little wicker suitcase can be removed from the back of the car and opens up to be packed with tiny little things. This is a BIG car and a wonderful addition to any CC collection. I just saw that there is a camper and I can't wait to get that too. I mean for my daughter, that is! It is a little more than I would pay, but the price is really justified in the quality and possibility for longevity and creative play. Love it.

I bought this toy for my 8 year old daughter. She just love this toy, and play it with other calico critters figures.
The quality is excellent. The door opens and shut, so as the suit case!

My 5 year old daughter wanted this car. Thought it was a bit expensive but now feel it was worth the money. It is cute and very sturdy. I especially like that it came with three calico critters. My daughter loves it!

Very sturdy, pulls the camper very well. (if you purchase that) The car seats are cute and my daughter likes putting the critters in the seats and decide who is driving and which baby critter is crying. At this point my daughter doesn't play with this too much. I think because it is attached to the camper she focuses on the camper and not so much on the car. Very well made car.

This Calico Critters Station Wagon is sturdy and holds lots of critters. Any Critters fan will love it. At $49 it is a bit pricey however.
