What the heck makes this doll African-American?Jun 25, 2011
By RSW I wonder what makes this doll African American?
Could it be her stick straight hair? Or her European features...tiny nose and green eyes? Or her honey tanned skin tone? It's ridiculous to call this doll African-American. I'd really prefer a hair doll that helped my daughter learn how to work with wavy/curly hair and that had some features that remotely resembled her own.

By GiGi Purchased for my 4 yr old grandaughter. Every time she combed the hair it shed... everywhere. After a couple of months the head was just about bald. My daughter-in-law was tired of sweeping up the hair and eventually threw the whole thing out.

By WR This Barbie was a little smaller than I expected, but for the price I could not complain. My daughter absolutely loves styling the dolls hair.
